(22/6/11) Newronia will be present as a sponsor for the 13th edition of the European summer school on intelligent agents (EASSS 2011) to be held in Girona from 11 to 15 July.
EASSS aims to provide a valuable forum for the exchange of knowledge between research groups in this field, for the benefit of students and researchers, both beginners and advanced. The success of this summer school is essential not only for the mutual benefit of the research groups, but also in training future generations of researchers to maintain excellence in research and development agents Europe. EASSS attracts about 100 students each year. The school offers a wide range of courses prior art donated by prominent researchers in the area. A typical course is 4 hours in total and are large enough to provide a general introduction to the theme while covering the most important contributions in depth.

The ceremony of the awards had Josep Calbó, Vice President of Research at the University of Girona, Albert Bou, President of the Board of Trustees of the University of Girona, and Jordi Ortega, representative of the Board of the Girona area of the COAC.
This year they have presented 279 students from 87 schools of Girona, Vic, Maresme and Vallès Oriental. The papers were assessed jointly by professors from the University of Girona and high school.
In his speech, members of Newronia have released their experience as young entrepreneurs. Awards for research of high school students want to promote research among young people in an area of proximity between the secondary and Girona.
(2/5/11) On May 2, held the first edition of the awards Embark Girona 2011, in order to recognize and reward the best business projects and advice arising from this municipal service.
Pau Garcia-Mila, founder of eyeOS was present at the meeting and encouraged people to have many ideas and put them into practice, whether for business or carry out other initiatives.
The 5 finalists among the companies that is Newronia were able to present their projects to the day of delivery of prizes, as well as we could see during the session, the students had made videos of new technologies of Service Municipal records of the City Council of Girona.
The winners and finalists received their diplomas from the hands of the mayor of Girona Anna Pagans, CEO of Enterprise and Employment of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Christian Serarols and the Deputy Mayor for Local Development and Promotion of the City, Cristina Alsina.
Llagurt, the organic yogurt company, was the first winner of this vote of thanks to the entrepreneurs themselves participants in the day of delivery of prizes.
